Position Summary:
Drive FX growth across the APAC region including Emerging Markets, with a focus on software and solutions. Provide deep domain expertise across pre and post trade FX lifecycles. Partner the sales specialists, pre-sales and product to identify opportunities and progress them to closure and into post production support.
Job Responsibilities:
1. All aspects of business development for the MarkitServ FX business, across all platforms
2. The candidate will be the main driver of revenue acquisition and will ensure that the business goals are achieved. The candidate will drive partnership across the broader team working closely with sales specialists, Heads of Product, Account managers and support teams.
3. Provide feedback on existing product capability and potential new opportunities
4. You are responsible for keeping your products knowledge to a high standard for your defined product area and a referral standard for Markit’s other product lines, and stay aware of any future development.
5. Active participation in Sales Conferences/ Special Events sales collateral production, client entertainment; association memberships. It is expected that you will help drive these activities for their product line so as to maximize sales revenue and retention.
Job Requirements:
1. Proven sales experience and can demonstrate ‘closing’ ability
2. Strong financial markets knowledge, candidates with previous trading experience preferable
3. In touch and current on latest changes, issues and opportunities in an evolving regulatory landscape
4. Demonstrable track record of high value solution sales specifically in Asia
5. Ability to present and negotiate with senior level management whilst in many cases, managing complex sales process
6. Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, good graphical skills
7. 20% travel required
