IT Supervisor
Job Location: Pinghu, Zhejiang
About the Organisation:
This is one of the world's largest automotive suppliers in the area of steel and aluminium forging and machining.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the operation of services and team of three subordinates to supervise and measure service levels on daily basis
Acting as the 1st point of escalation within the domain for major incidents for three manufacturing units which consist of a forging plant, a machining plant and a new forging plant under construction now
Overseeing plans for the operation of early life support new solutions, especially new applications and installations e.g. SAP, MPDV, Her (Benq), telephone system, quality management systems and various IT hardware
Prioritizing incidents and problems for resolution with central IT function and external support teams. Managing a high volume of change into the live domain environment in a safe, secure and coordinated manner, including the service / project Go Live review, acceptance (and where necessary, rejection) of the changes. Identification and tracking of known errors
Reviewing and reporting on the quality of service provision, maintain troubleshooting log and create AMP for pending issues in order to solve the issue by earliest time
Monitoring availability and future capacity of systems, raising issues and taking corrective action as required Service Planning and Improvement, Capacity and Availability
Leading the planning of services, including service content, availability, capacity, security, disaster recovery, IT capex
Seeking opportunities to improve service provision and reduce costs
Defining the strategic IT upgrades required to ensure that the applications continue meet the business needs and that they remain supportable
Review and approve in principle all changes affecting applications (in your pillar/domain) prior to the next approval stage and presentation at change Advisory Board
Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with external suppliers eg. BenQ, Avaya etc, ensuring there is a shared vision and priorities and effective ways of working
Owning the day-to-day service operations relationship with these suppliers
Ensuring processes and procedures for supplier contract review are in place
Assessing and overseeing service suppliers’ performance
Establishing clear management controls with service suppliers
Managing the engagement with these suppliers in the incident, change and problem management processes
Managing the operational expenditure, including management of all associated contracts and outsourced services
Governing the services provided by the supplier to ensure contract obligations are being delivered
Initiating changes in a contract when required to improve service to New Look by working with the procurement/commercial team
Key Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, major in IT or related is a plus.
Experience: 5 years relevant leadership experience in WOFE manufacturing company
Proficient in knowledge of the IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, sever systems, security, local area networks, telephone system etc.)
Knowledge of ERP systems and SAP is a plus
Good inter-personal communications skills
Very good command of English (frequent conference call in English with German IT)
