Responsibilities of the position:
1. Platform Controlling team acts as a business partner of the trading desk, supporting it for any routine or adhoc business topic, and working closely with the traders on a daily basis.
2. Coordinate, Check and Participate – if necessary – in Daily production and timely reporting of platform P&L and position
2.1 Update daily report on positions of cash and futures per trader’s confirmation, which include lots, price, delivery month, contract month, MTM price, initial margin rate, etc.
2.2 Provide daily and monthly commentary to traders and management on the main drivers influencing the businesses P&L based on a solid understanding of the market drivers behind the P&L through daily conversations with traders and research within the industry such as analyst reports, newspaper articles or internet queries.
2.3 Be an active participant in platform meetings or calls to be fully aware of any business decisions.
2.4 Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the reports (positions, prices, costs, brokers statements reconciliation, IFRS compliance), and raise any issue first to traders, second to business controller - formulate appropriate processes to ensure completeness and timely trade capture and reporting.
2.5 Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly Adhoc P/L, and check reconciliation with monthly statutory reporting, formulate action plans to minimize differences.
2.6 Understand and coordinate business risks reporting of the strategies (market, credit, liquidity, forex, ,…). Ensure shared understanding with the platform.
2.7 Act as a facilitator for external or internal audits.
3 Ensure thorough knowledge of Working Capital requirements, inventories and volumes – Coordinate and Participate – if necessary - in Weekly Cash Flow Forecast process.
4. Participate in IT projects in the country to implement effective systems for trading, execution, positions control, market risk, credit, cash management, accounting, etc. Lead modules related to Daily Position or Daily PL reporting. Lead Inventory management system.
Prior to IT implementations allowing to generate automated reports, propose and carry out – with the strong support of the Sugar Platform Controller - improvements on reporting files to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability on reporting
5. Proactively communicate with other function groups (Accounting, Treasury, Execution, Regional and Platform control…) to ensure proper reporting and understanding of their platform decisions or strategies.
6. Provide ad-hoc support from him/her or his/her team to the Trading desk for any request linked to the business of the platform. Facilitate decision-making by his analyses.
7. Coordinate with the help of his/her team Reforecast, Budget and Business Plan exercises for the platform
7.1 Commercial Margin, Production Costs, Working Capital, Interests, Volumes, Capex
7.2 Check and ensure proper allocation of Direct and Indirect G&A, Net interests, and defend platform interests in management discussions. Prepare presentation to management.
7.3 Analyze Actual vs Budget or RFC variances for all P&L and Balance Sheet items. Propose action plans to trading desk to improve financial KPIs.
8. Coordinate the consolidation of industrial reports: KPI’s, OIR, WCR, IAP, Capex for China assets
9. Formulate appropriate processes to ensure proper governance of the plants and follow up on deployment

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees
2. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and to prioritize
3. Self-starter with ability to work independently and to take initiatives, proactive attitude toward problems
4. Ability to work in a high-pressure atmosphere
5. High level vision with apposite attention to detail
6. Ability to identify/control weaknesses and implement process improvements (best practices)
7. Strong analytical skills
8. Strong Excel and PPT skills
