o manage the company secretariat function ensuring compliance for all BP legal entities (including wholly owned as well as joint ventures at the shareholder’s level) in Greater China and all BP legal entities of the Petrochemicals business legal entities in other areas within Asia and to manage non-routine corporate governance and company secretarial work in relation to BP legal entities incorporated in Hong Kong and a particular legal entity in Malaysia.

Ensure the effective and efficient management of BP Legal by providing administrative support and assist with the Legal functions annual budget.


This position is 3 years fixed term BP full time employee.


(1) Accountable for company secretarial work in relation to all BP legal entities (including wholly owned as well as joint ventures at the shareholder’s level) in Greater China and all BP legal entities of the Petrochemicals business legal entities in other areas within Asia, mainly including Malaysia, Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia. The required work typically includes drafting and seeking approvals on board and/or shareholder resolutions, applications of power of attorney, director appointment and training arrangement, arranging board and/or shareholder meeting proxy, coordination with other BP Company Secretaries, and coordination on annual joint reports of BP PRC legal entities, and etc;

(2) Accountable for non-routine corporate governance and company secretarial work in relation to BP legal entities incorporated in Hong Kong and a particular legal entity in Malaysia. The required work typically includes coordinating to finalize and timely file Annual Financial Statements, Annual General Meeting and non-routine registration matters with external company registrar;

(3) Accountable for drafting and reviewing simple legal documents mainly for China Holdings Company Limited, as directed by the commercial lawyers;

(4) Accountable for translating legal documents from English to Chinese or vice versa, when required by the commercial lawyers ;

(5) Accountable for legal research and analysis as required in the corporate governance work and by the commercial lawyers;

(6) Accountable for other daily corporate governance work, including administering all of the following: the legal compliance training and record keeping, efficient hard copy and electronic legal filing system of BP Legal China, updating the corporate information in the on-line system for legal entities in China and Malaysia, and shared site of China Legal Team;

(7) Assisting with required reporting within Legal, and Legal team’s annual plan / Legal team’s quarterly operating performance review including, but not limited to preparation and submission of annual plan, collecting and reporting quarterly internal and external financial data; and

(8) Any other work as reasonably required by the Line Manager at her discretion.

? Tertiary qualifications preferably in finance
? Qualifications in corporate governance desirable
