SUMMARY:
The Business Manager –China, Reflective will be responsible for setting the business objectives for growth, margin and free cash flow for the region. This position will also be responsible for the day to day the management of multiple functional areas that include sales, marketing, technical service, quality and customer service. This role will also have direct interaction with the other regional and global business leadership to ensure sharing and utilizing best practices in order to differentiate Avery Dennison in the eyes of our customers.
Responsibilities
● Responsible for business development across the region with assigned revenue & profit targets. Expected to deliver Top line/ bottom-line for Greater China Reflective Business (incl Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan)
● Liaise with different Design institutes, Govt. Testing labs, Approval bodies and End-users etc. for Avery Reflective Product Specification qualifications.
● Strategize business development and identify opportunities and driving project pipeline activities to commercialization.
● Create, maintain and grow the customer base in China Technical Support to end-user pre and post sales. Support forecasting /Customer service
● Provide leadership to sales team and be responsible for the key account management of important accounts / partnerships.
● Understanding the competitive landscape and identify business opportunities and threats around the same.
● Develop and implement key account management and client mapping Strategies
● Maintain a strong revenue expansion focus to achieve & exceed financial goals
● Assess current organizational capabilities, needs and define long-term long–term strategy – including collaboration worldwide – to drive share gain and growth in excess of market growth in the region.
● Achieve maximum levels of productivity, ensuring that the business benefits from the lowest possible cost and best value by working very closely with the operations and supply chain teams. Work closely with product management and finance teams in the business to understand pricing, volume and mix to proactively identify trends that can impact the business.
● Actively engage in translating best practices in the areas of strategic sourcing, organization design and development, cost modeling, and developing enhanced supplier relationships to support the businesses in the region.
● Attract, retain and develop high potential talent proving regular development and coaching as well as constructive feedback as necessary.
● Develop and maintain collaborative, trusting and productive relationships with the team around the world
● Perform general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions and terminations.
● Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Requirements
Essential
● BS in Engineering or another technical discipline or Economics/Business degree.
● Minimum 6 years’ experience in Technical marketing, Business Development, Sales or Specification selling
● Strong technical skillset and business acumen; able to teach technical requirements to team, customers and end users with training
● Must be able to champion new business ventures.
● Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills,
● Proven ability to successfully lead teams to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
● Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Desirable
● Self-motivated professional who achieves results and has superior ability to coordinate and perform several projects simultaneously in different geographies
● Previous experience in Bidding process
● Project management skills.
● Should be goal oriented and a self starter.
● Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues. Strong experience in strategic leadership needed, international exposure preferred.
Travel:
● This role will require 60-70% travel for meetings, customer & supplier visits, etc.
