Copal is expanding its Beijing research centre, and is looking for highly motivated individuals to join us. Daily activities would include, but not limited to the following:
- Analyzing financial statements
- Credit analysis e.g. ratings, covenant analysis, stress testing, scenario analysis, amongst others
- Bond agreements analysis and capital structure analysis
- Group structure analysis
- Knowledge of bond trading terms
- Liquidity of the companies’ analysis
- Opinion based credit report writing
- Monitoring of portfolio companies
- Industry and capital market newsletters
- Transaction comps
- Industry reports
- Thematic studies
- Financial benchmarking
- Technical Chinese-English / English-Chinese translation
Required Background
- Complete fluency in written and verbal Mandarin & English language
- Top academic credentials
- Analyst: 1-3 years of above relevant experience required.
- Candidates from local/international credit agencies, credit & fixed income research division of financial institutions, insurance companies and/or asset management firms are preferred
- Technical skills
o Must have strong written/verbal and quantitative skills
o Strong analytical skills
o Good grasp of business concepts
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Soft skills
o Strong project management / multi-tasking skills
o Ability to work against tight deadlines
o High attention to detail
