Position Profile
The challenge facing company today is to extend its franchise as the world-leading supplier of software services to the mobile devices industry while expanding their reach into new market and customers segments. This will require an aggressive thrust to promote and drive the acceptance of company's services capability by the marketplace through a targeted effort to the leading mobile device vendors, chipset vendors, network operators, Application/Portal providers and Content Companies.

The objective is to expand our customer base in to new market segments, with a focus on Consumer, to bring in new meaningful revenue streams and to support the expansion of business within our existing customer base.

The successful Solutions Manager will establish business relations with all the major players in the Chinese markets or customer business unit with a core focus on new solution offering opportunities...

The clear intent is to establish company as the "go to" supplier in the market when it comes to developing new consumer experiences; and the natural company for off-loading/shoring back-end development work (implementation, test & verification, maintenance, porting services) in that sector.

The Solutions Manager will work closely with the delivery team and the regional Chinese sales team agreeing key customer targets, opportunities and action plans. The Solutions Manager will also be responsible for coordinating activities and focus on key priorities for new solution developments, demonstration support, working with the global pool of solution managers to share knowledge and providing some local marketing support activities (such as attending trade shows, creating technology blogs and whitepapers).

The primary responsibility of the Technical Consumer Electronics Solutions Manager will include



· Support the regional Chinese sales teams by maintaining deep insights on new technologies and software platforms relevant for market.

· Identify relevant technology and software development changes for the Chinese vendors and translate these in to opportunity statements.

· Development of business plans to solution proposals to support growing the customer pipeline in Chinese.

· Identify key skill sets and competencies required to address customer issues and opportunities and work with the appropriate delivery and practice teams to ensure such skills sets are available within Company.

· Support the sales team during the initial phases of new business development for new solutions or with new customers.

· Support the creation of solution offering materials including presentations, sales handbooks and offering briefs and reference bids. Training of the sales and relevant support teams.

· Be willing and prepared to represent Company with key customers and business partners, traveling on behalf of the company.

· Working with the bid manager for the customer or region to support the delivery of high quality proposals for customers.

· Architect for the new project, be responsible to define the development strategy for the various platform offerings. also responsible for the technical direction of a project , makes high level design choices for the software structure, frameworks, protocols, and algorithms.

· Determine coding practices, development tools, and validation requirements. In addition interacts with multiple technologists in the company and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

Personal Characteristics

Ideal candidates possess good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Must be a high-energy individual with excellent strength of convictions, a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and programs to others. Should possess natural programming as a team player and have a history of working well with an over-achieving management group. This person is by nature a risk-taker and has a high level of ambition. Equally importantly, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

Company requires someone long on native intelligence and still possessing the appropriate intuition and self-confidence to adapt to changing market conditions. This person has a high level of analytical intelligence and is a sophisticated, multi-dimensional thinker; s/he can demonstrate cognitive flexibility and has the ability to simplify a situation and break it down so that potential problems can be identified and addressed. This individual must also be a strong marketing strategist, someone who believes in the importance of the product and marketing intelligence in the product life cycle.

This individual should possess palpable leadership ability; deal naturally and effectively with senior executives in the mobile arena. Must be an exceptional interpersonal communicator able to understand and easily express the vision of a paradigm shifting technology. Should be comfortable as a front line crusader for change demonstrating commitment and conviction of the importance of the company's strategy.

Required experiences:

· Minimum of 15 years working experience in software industry.

· Graduate /Post Graduate in Computer Science, Electronics, Communications.

· Deep SW architecture and development skills, Programming languages and methodologies.

· Proven ability to communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical people at all levels.

· Good presentation and written skills for peers, management, partners and customers.

· Technical breadth and flexibility to handle complex technologies and problems.

· Experience reviewing and designing solutions for complex engineering problem.

· Has experience of working in sales or a sales support role.

· Adaptive and capable of responding to changing customer demands in real-time (i.e. during a customer meeting).

· Demonstrable experience in creatively solving technical challenges.

· Detail oriented good analytical and problem solving skills.

· Experience in developing software using the SCRUM methodology.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Up to 50% of travel.
