Translation Editor:

We are looking for translation editor who can edit translation for technical documents. The aim of our project is to provide high-quality manual adjusted translation for intellectual property purposes. We prefer applicants that have experience and knowledge of using the computer to support the translation process, like Computer Aided Translation or Machine Translation.

Responsible for:
- Edit translation to support machine-translation, alignment and value-add data identification
- Provide information, check and analyze the technical data
- Analyze and report about processes, procedures and workflows
- Other tasks assigned related to company business

What we ask:
- A college education and excellent skills in Chinese to English translation
- Good reading & writing abilities in English language
- Technical major or background is highly preferred
- General experience in using the computer as a tool in the translation process
- Advanced knowledge of a word processor like Word of Microsoft Office including the features of the Review Tab like Spelling & Grammar, Translate, Thesaurus and Research
- Practical experience with the use of Chinese-English dictionaries and domain specific glossaries available in the internet
- Practical experience with online translation services available on the web
- Knowledge about professional or standard versions of Computer Aided Translation software
- Understanding of maintenance of Electronic Dictionaries and Translation Memories
- Awareness of post-editing and enhancement of Machine Translation results
- Team spirit and cooperation

Specific knowledge/experience:
- Working with both Chinese and English texts
