Your role
Are you a talented engineer and can build a state of the art big-data web harvesting system? You will work as a team to build, design, and experiment with next generation web harvesting techniques (e.g. generic web harvesting, NLP based web harvesting, statistically based data analysis, etc.) You will :
? maintain existing harvesting processes and solutions
? reverse-engineer web pages and their underlying technologies
? investigate data issues and statistical anomalies of harvested data
? create new harvesting processes to meet project needs
? work with globally distributed team members to solve challenging web mining problems

You will join in Evidence Lab which is one of the most innovative and highly regarded teams in UBS Investment Bank. We thrive on innovation and work as a startup within a well-established and well-funded investment bank and specialize in various analytical techniques including web harvesting, geospatial, social media, market research, and supply chain.
Your experience and skills
You have:
? 0-1+ years web development and database experience
? experience in using JavaScript libraries and AJAX technologies
? knowledge of Browser-Web Server interaction including DNS, HTTP, SSL, GET vs POST
? ability to self-manage and prioritize workload
You are:
? a detail focus person
? an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills
? a flexible, resilient team player with a positive attitude
? fluent in English
