KEY ACCOUNTABILITES:
? Agreeing and delivering a clear, agreed strategic direction for promoting company’s local market position.
o Contributing to the development of a short to medium-term strategy and related actions that will deliver a requisite level of OGR (kind of ROI) that legitimately strengthens company’s market share in China.
o Developing strong, mutually beneficial, and enduring partnerships with distributors, Key account-retailers, e-commerce retailers, key customers, service providers, and all company stakeholders at regional/provincial level;
o Maintaining and enhancing an effective and efficient distribution and operational relationships.
? Developing appropriate distribution networks as per Market Development Manager’s direction
? Establish relationship and contact with potential customers such as wholesalers, KAs, E-coms
? Ensuring appropriate cool-chain and fruit management systems are in place.
? Implementing plans & strategies for optimising China OGR between seasons:
? Supporting the development and leading the implementation of agreed territory/sales channel plans that deliver a solid return on investment (marketing, brand awareness, personnel, promotion, supply chain establishment, distribution networks and relationships);
? Working closely with the Sr. Market Development Manager in order to respond to the changing trade, competitor, consumer and supply environment
? Train customers’ capability to better serve for company’s business require
COMPETENCIES:
Essential:
? Entrepreneurial and commercial acumen
? Strong and proven relationship management and networking abilities, with a talent for building long-term working relationships internally and externally, at all levels and across cultures
? The ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations by setting high standards for quality and quantity;
? A proven track record translating vision into action: focussing on quality and customer / consumer satisfaction, setting high standards and achieving project goals
? Ability to work well in a high pressure environment, with the personal resilience to respond positively to setbacks and / or critique
? Able to speak and write with a high level of confidence, competence and credibility, for example, when expressing opinions, information or key points of a business case
Experience/Technical:
? Ideally, at least five - seven years’ experience living and working in complex Asian markets (preferably in fresh produce).
? Language skills – Mandarin, English (spoken and written).
? A tertiary qualification in business.
