POSITION: Security Manager

REPORTING TO: Project HSE Director

RESPONSIBILITY: To be the voice of the Customer in all Security matters


AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

1. To be the voice of the Customer in all security matters
2. Responsible for implementation of the Project Security Plan
3. Organise and manage site security resources. Provide training as required
4. Give direction and control all activities relating to the security department
5. Liaise with relevant authorities on all security matters
6. Monitor and report status on all project security systems
7. Participate in incident investigations/ root cause analysis/ reports
8. Obtain and distribute daily site access records to various departments
9. Participate in OSHE emergency response efforts
10. Informing the Project HSE Director of any concerns in respect to implementation of security plans, or on all significant matters relating to or arising from the duties and functions under your control.
11. Planning and prioritising all work to anticipate backlogs, and preparing any necessary work flow schedules and monitoring same to enable meeting of reporting deadlines.
12. Performing each task from inception to conclusion to the highest possible standards.
13. Ensuring that you maintain the name and goodwill of the company.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Safety Engineering or relevant subject.

EXPERIENCE:
5 to 8 years experience in a HSE role that involved works on site is essential.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
1. Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, etc.
2. Ability to work in English and possess excellent written and oral English.
3. Easily adaptable to a changing and challenging working environment and the ability to work well under pressure, including long hours and six-day weeks.
4. Hands-on team player.
5. Possessing strong interpersonal and personal skills including:
? An ability to manage conflict
? Superior negotiating skills
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Ability to work and deal with people at different levels
? A sense of urgency
? Being highly organized, self-motivated and with initiative
