职位描述
POSITION: Project Procurement
REPORTING TO: Procurement Manager / Project Manager
RESPONSIBILITY: Completing the procurement procedure for trade packages in conjunction with other team members, including preparing documentation, evaluating tenders in line with company and client procedures and finalising contracts.
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Assist with development and maintenance of the procurement plan.
- Responsible for coordinating and execution of all procurement related activities
- Follow company and client procedures to select suitable contractors and sub-contractors
- Identify the correct specifications, drawings, schedules and other project documents to be issued with individual tender packages.
- Ensure bid packages are prepared in compliance with project requirements and aligned with the procurement plan.
- Issue updates to tender packages out for tender, as new information becomes available.
- Receive and respond to all questions from tendering parties, including issuing of RFIs or other project correspondence to ensure tender clarity.
- Follow up with tendering contractors to ensure tenders are submitted on time.
- Produce excellent “apples to apples” tender comparisons that explicitly highlight deficiencies or inclusions within each tender received, in comparison with others from that trade.
- Develop professional, detailed tender recommendations based on tender comparisons, with safety compliance, price, schedule, previous experience and other factors considered.
- Assist project team with follow-up contractual issues throughout project, retrieving relevant bidding information as required and maintaining accurate records.
- Planning and prioritising all work to anticipate backlogs, and preparing any necessary work flow schedules and monitoring same to enable meeting of work deadlines.
- Use negotiation skills when and where appropriate.
- Provide assistance to Project Director, Project Manager and Process Procurement Manager as required, working in a team environment
- Assist other team members as required
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

- Liaise with client representative to arrange procurement of sundry items as project requires
- Keeping your Direct Manager informed of all significant matters relating to or arising from the duties and functions under your control.
- Understanding the need for discretion and confidentiality on various matters that may arise.
- Seeking out and following up on information that is necessary to enable you to perform your role effectively and efficiently.
- Performing each task from inception to conclusion to the highest possible standard.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and conducting business in a professional and ethical manner.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Engineering or other relevant fields
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience
- Previous procurement experience particularly in the construction / engineering industry will be highly beneficial
- Background in process equipment and systems beneficial but not essential.
