POSITION:                  Senior Architect

REPORTING TO:                  Design Manager/General Manager

RESPONSIBILITY:                 To work within and direct a team in undertaking architectural design applying knowledge and experience to projects. This role has the responsibility to ensure the highest standard of design and documentation is prepared in the most efficient manner to meet required standards of the practice and the client.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

·         Liaise with clients, establishing needs and taking briefs before commencing work, continuously liaising with clients during all phases of project to ensure the clients needs are understood and met.

·         Responsible for project design.

·         Planning and scheduling of staff activities as required.

·         Site inspection as required, including verifying materials on site conform with project specifications.

·         Take on responsibility for interacting across all disciplines in order to fulfil project responsibilities.

·         Understand and prepare project budgets, fee proposals, work within set budgets, and manage projects profitably.

·         Keep Manager informed on the progress of work on significant matters under your control.

·         At times will be required to perform a hands on, all round architectural role from assisting in setting up CPL design standards /  drawings / details, assembling specifications, architectural drafting etc..

·         Be involved in architectural staff resourcing and staff recruitment as required.

·         Work on RFP fee proposals / Business Development as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Degree in Architecture, Registration as an Architect or working towards Registration.

·         Solid experience within the Pharmaceutical Sector, Educational sector experience too would be an advantage. Minimum 8 to 10 years working experience.

·         English and Mandarin would be preferred

·         Proven experience working as an Architect

·         Ability to run several projects simultaneously.

·         Perform all tasks from inception to conclusion to the highest possible standard

·         Constantly review all duties and practices. Initiate and participate in developing new & improved methods to meet changing needs

·         A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as a minimum, other computer skills required: Autocad, Power Point, Email and Internet.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
