POSITION: Commissioning Engineer



REPORTING TO: Services Manager/Project Manager



RESPONSIBILITY: Management of the Commissioning process for the project


AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:


1. Have complete knowledge of the commissioning requirements for all services required on the project.



2. Assist the Services Manager with the commissioning of all services for the project.



3. Develop and manage the commissioning protocols and provide schedule input for all tasks and durations related to commissioning.



4. Organise and lead regular commissioning meetings with relevant consultants and subcontractor leads.



5. Attend and provide input where required in construction and site meetings, as well as any value engineering or other meetings.



6. Assist other team members as required.



7. Other tasks as assigned by your Direct Manager.



PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in construction/engineering related field, or Trade qualified professional with extensive project experience would be preferred.



EXPERIENCE:

5+ years relevant experience.

Ability to work in English and possess Excellent written and oral English.
Ability to value-add.
Being reliable, trustworthy and dependable in performing the above tasks
Ability to work under minimal supervision and (at times) under pressure.
Ability to quickly comprehend and perform job request to a high standard.
Well organised
Hands on team player. Support and back up other staff members and perform a range of duties from routine to complex.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Extremely flexible - varied workload and constant deadlines.
Ability to foster and promote a team-focused working environment
Proficient working knowledge of computer systems and software applications, such as Office, AutoCAD, Project, etc.
