POSTION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Service Parts Operations (SPO), Services Procurement & Logistics is a critical function within NCR Services organization. GCA Manager of this organization is responsible for executing the global service parts strategy and cascading it to GCA including procurement, transportation & network optimization, inventory management and distribution management, as well as outsourced services and fleet management. This role will have significant operational accountability for having the right part, in the right place, at the right time, at the best possible cost. The Customer's Satisfaction with NCR's ability to service products when a part is needed is a key success factor of this role. Objective of this role is to optimize NCR's Service Parts, Outsourced Services and Fleet investment while increasing Customer's satisfaction with NCR Services, in order to gain a competitive advantage. The SPO will work closely with all concerned, set quantitative and qualitative goals and parameters which drive best in class performance, develop delivery models that take into account geographical constraints that affect costs and turn-around-times and establish a cadence of ongoing productivity and cost improvement. She/he will lead and develop a high-performance operational team by attracting, retaining and developing needed talent to build best in class operation while encouraging innovation and recognition of individuals for high level contributions. He/ She should have ability to drive Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement programs.
This position reports to the Asia Pacific Director of Service Parts Operations.
Other key relationships are:
- GCA Services General Manager
- India/ Regional Operations leadership (Business operations, Procurement, Customer Care Center, manufacturing, etc.)
- Services Design & Engineering
- APAC Rework/Parts Quality Manager
The Service Parts Operations, Logistics group has following major areas of responsibility: Distribution Management:
? Management of Central, Regional and Field Warehouses.
? Organize end-to-end workforce plan
? Manage stock
? Planning, organizing and managing overall warehouse operations, including 3rd Party Logistics vendors
? Ensure workplace safety and health requirements are met and security of stock
? Ensure availability of parts
? Drive Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement programs
Inventory Management:
? Responsible in-country rotable service parts inventory
? Responsible for end-to-end Service Parts Lifecycle Management
? Responsible for planning, execution, information management and measurement and control to ensure availability of Spare Parts with defined product specifications
? Ensure parts availability metrics are exceeded as a core strategy to increase customer delight
? Support Service Partner
Program Service Parts Procurement:
? Responsible for aligning with NCR's end-to-end Procurement team for process including: requirements development, market scans, supplier identification, negotiations, contracting and management
? Responsible for alignment relative to supplier management and supplier scorecard: quality, cost, lead-times and deliver fidelity
? Team with Supplier Quality team to conduct supplier quality, audits and corrective actions.
Transportation & Network Optimization:
? Design & Optimize Services stocking locations using Continuous Improvement tools
? Maximize efficient flows using network models to shortest path cost savings
? Team with other organizations to ensure parts availability metrics are met
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in mid to high level operations positions in enterprise customer service environments.
Candidates with experience in computer hardware and peripherals, communications infrastructure, Consumer Electronics and software/hardware support environments are preferred.
