Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

To manage the direct procurement category sourcing including fabric, trim etc. The scope covers Vero Moda, Only, Jack&Jones, Selected, J.Lindeburg brands in China.  Also support supply chain re-engineer project where there’s leverage opportunity.  

Key Responsibilities:

Develop sourcing strategy

·Develop sourcing strategy of the sub categories and implement strategy during daily activities.

·Regularly review sourcing strategy implementation and update where necessary

Manage strategic sourcing activities

·Identify and deliver cost effectiveness initiatives

·Influence business needs where necessary

·Work with brand buying team in vendor selection, RFP, and negotiations (price and other terms)

·Assess financial stability and risk of potential vendors

Manage external vendor relationships and internal customer relationships

·In line with defined category strategy, support the classification and categorization of vendors

·Continuously track vendor performance

·Lead and support vendor development activities such as setting up cross-functional review meetings with vendors

·Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders

·Manage internal customer feedback on category performance

Support initiatives and will willing to take more responsibilities

·Should with willingness to take more responsibility when business needs arise

·Open to take care procurement process related areas when business needs arise

Key Relationships:

·Brand buying manager, senior/junior buyers

·Brand design VP, managers

·Brand planning managers

·Distribution managers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·Advanced in sourcing execution, as well as project management and planning

·Good knowledge of procurement strategy development

·Should be able to conduct cost presentation and analysis by having deep knowledge of internal cost and external cost benchmark

·Should be able to take full accountability with broader scope when there is a need to facilitate the decision making

·Should be able to collaborate with peers to achieve common goal

·Proficiency in MS Office

·Fluent in English, spoken and written

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

·Minimum 5-8 years experiences in purchasing management positions
