Our client is a top-tier multi-national Chemical company. They are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their organization in Guangzhou.
Position: Purchasing Manager (a chemical plant position)
Location: Guangzhou
Qualification:
1. University graduate MBA a plus
2. Major in chemistry, chemical technology, or chemical engineering.
3. Fluent in Chinese and English
4. Computer skill : MS office suite; SAP(or other ERP system)
Responsibilities:
1 to lead and manage a purchasing team to perform day-to-day functions efficiently and effectively in a chemical manufacturing environment;
2 to interface effectively with peer groups on purchasing matters;
3 to drive for improvements and fulfillment of KPI requirements ,especially for quality and cost targets;
4 to support top management in achieving policy compliance in purchasing;
5 to compete ad-hoc projects as reasonably assigned.
The requirements
1 Must have >6year experience in chemical purchasing in the PRC, with the last 3 years being in a managerial role.
2 Results oriented and self motivated to achieve excellence in purchasing results;
3 A leader who can motivate and supervise in a small team environment;
4 Able to effectively work with all levels in a chemical manufacturing organization;
5 Strong background in negotiation for results in complex situation and tight time pressure;
6 Demonstrated successes in supplier management and procurement value creation
