NCH Corporation – Hazard Communication Specialist (Asia Pacific)

The Hazard Communication Specialist will perform hazardous determinations, author MSDS’s and develop precautionary labeling for formulated products. This position will ensure that we continue to meet current and future product regulatory compliance requirements including the implementation of the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Hazardous Chemicals. Responsibilities –

• Performing hazard determinations, authoring MSDS’s, and developing precautionary labeling
• Maintaining data integrity on hazard assessments in the MSDS authoring system
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of Asia Pacific countries, and GHS hazard communication requirements
• Providing internal and external customer support related to hazard communication
• Researching and maintaining knowledge of changing regulations
• Actively participating in workflow and system development projects to continue to maintain compliance with Asia Pacific hazard communication regulations and related regulatory requirements
• Lead projects as assigned

Skills –

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene or EHS related field
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in the Chemical Industry including experience in the chemical regulatory field.
• Knowledge and experience in global hazard communication requirements and chemical control laws
• Experience working with MSDS authoring software and labeling systems
• Working knowledge of Hazard Communication and labeling regulations
• Strong computer literacy, high degree of accuracy and productivity standards
• Detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities
• Must be self motivated and comfortable working in a team environment
