1. BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION (A brief but complete statement about the reason for the existence of the Position)
E-commerce Operations is a commercial role within E-commerce China focused on four multi-year initiatives, as well as management of day-to-day business planning & forecasting.
Specifically, the role will be responsible for:
(1) Delivery of the Tao-village acceleration programme with Alibaba and with JD’s similar programme, which will see deeper penetration in lower tier and rural villages. Taovillage is a key growth driver for Mondelez in next 3 years. Alibaba plans to penetrate a 100K villages, opportunity for driving Oreo, Stride and Tang penetration is high. This role will be the dedicated owner for the Taovillage programme, to drive the setup of the complex business model. This year alone we expect close to NR $2M+, ramping up to NR $10M+ in 2017. Getting the model setup right will be key, to ensure it is not margin dilutive.
(2) Step-changing the economics of our Direct-to-Consumer (Flagship) model with Alibaba.Flagship store is strategically important for building our brands online, more so than eSupermarket. Yet Flagship is margin challenged today vs eSuper (GM 35% vs 45%). As the channel mix shifts towards Flagship, we need to review and reset the economics of the Flagship model.In part this is about cost reduction in last mile delivery, but it is also about the commercial approach to Pack-Price and value-added-service in the Flagship store.Opportunity to drive GM +5pp over SP horizon, GP $10MM+.
(3) Optimising our eSupermarket model with Alibaba, JD and Yihaodian. Significant opportunity to improve the reliability and economics of this model, in partnership with our Distributor.Need to conduct a thorough diagnostic of the current process, identify opportunities for improvement and drive specific projects with cross-functional support.Work closely with E-commerce Tech lead, to identify tech solution options for driving efficiency.
(4) Establishing our Cross-Border E-commerce business model.Cross Border E-commerce has already been flagged as a key priority globally.We have an initial launch plan with Enjoy Life with NR $1.5MM, planned for this year – which is currently at risk.But the broader opportunity for imports through this channel is much bigger, BCG estimates $20M+ by 2020.The setup of this channel is complex, through a network of distributors in Hong Kong and Mainland China.In addition, growing the assortment through carefully selected brands is a specialist skill set.
(5) Implement our Personalised Gifting offers in all core categories. Personalised gifting already identified as key to driving Chocolate NR $15MM in 2017.This role will define the personalisation offer in partnership with Marketing, and manage the operational setup through to commercial delivery.
(6) Operate the day-to-day process for E-commerce including forecasting discipline and being the link into the broader IBP process.Particularly for very large activation windows like CNY, Double-11.Key indicators of success – on-shelf availability, forecast accuracy, days of inventory, write-offs.

3. KNOW HOW, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR THIS POSITION
(a) Education, qualifications and training
? College degree or above
? Strong knowledge of E-commerce project delivery,logistics and IT
? Experience in either a FMCG, Retail or 3PL environment
(b) Experience or skills required
? 10+ years working experience in multinational environment and holding/trading company experiences is a plus, ideally with an FMCG company or retailer
? Good trade understanding and knowledge - how the products are reached to shelf and how the in-store demand are generated
? Cross-functional working experience
? Strong analytical and project management skills
? Good English communication and selling skill
